Nutrition Action

Nutrition Action is a health and nutrition journal published by WITH INI.
It shares field experiences and research findings, and explores directions for change together.

Purpose of the Journal Nutrition Action was launched to share the field experiences and research findings
of those working to bring change to communities suffering from poverty and hunger
through a nutrition-centered approach.
This approach covers diverse areas that affect people’s lives and health,
including food, water, maternal and child health, infectious diseases,
refugees, community development, and relief.

Research We Pursue

Nutrition Action pursues the following research principles.

    We present experiences and cases from actual field sites in developing countries and vulnerable regions.

  • Practical approach

    We go beyond theory and propose practical methods that create change in people’s lives.

  • Evidence-based

    We provide reliable findings based on objective data and research processes.

Nutrition Action Sections

Nutrition Action consists of three types of content that connect the field, research, and knowledge.

    Field Articles: Stories from the Field

    This section introduces the processes and outcomes of programs planned and implemented in developing-country field settings.
    It presents program achievements, changes, and lessons learned, based on real field experiences.

    Research: Studies for Change

    This section covers regional studies, surveys for program planning, and the results of pilot projects.
    It provides evidence-based research and analysis to better understand the field and design improved programs.

    Summary of Research: Research Made Accessible

    Each year, this section selects one theme and summarizes key findings from related studies and reports.
    It presents core content and major implications so that specialized research can be understood more easily.
